In the wake of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Electronic Arts have decided to exclude the National Team of Russia, showing their strand with the people of Ukraine. It is the second time when the game removes the Russian Teams since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Decision taking stands
Since the Russian invasion, many developers in Ukraine have shared stories of the terrifying environment surrounding them. In response, Microsoft discontinues its service in Russia, followed by Electronic Arts. Hence, EA becomes the only game development company to do so. In addition, Electronic Arts have removed the Russian currency and sales from the game.
When the tech giants announced their cutting of services to Russia, the developers within saw an opportunity to develop their own game engine.
Way Forward
Apart from the halt of services and removal of the Russian Team, the developers have shared a piece of bad news to the fans, announcing the FIFA 23 as the final to be published.
